The Cannabis Industry is worth Billions and is steady rising everyday. So much that it seems everyone from the regular cannabis user to the biggiest stars in the world are looking to cash in on the ever growing market. Hip Hop has always had a very close relationship with cannabis. From the early years when Hip-Hop Icon Dr. Dre dedicated an entire album to the legendary strain “Chronic”. This debut album from Dre had a lot to prove being his first solo project since leaving the iconic hip-hop group NWA. It went on to be crtically acclaimed and sell 3 million copies proving cannabis to have commerical success even in the early 90s. Fast Forward to now and cannabis is mentioned on almost every hip hop song or album. As of 2022 cannabis is a great investment for HipHop artists and majortiy of the whole game has their hand in the cannabis industry. Curren$y

Curren$y was already know for unorthodox flow and his signature bars about cannabis. He entered the rap game on 2002 signed to No Limit Records. He then signed to Young Money Records in 2004 under the Iconic Artist Lil Wayne. Curren$y was very instrumental in the early days of young money being apart of classic projects like Dedication 2 just to name one. He also help inspire Wayne flow and style up until he decided to part ways in 2008. He continued to drop fan favorites like the Pilot Talk Series and Weekend at Bernie’s. In 2009 he was apart of the XXL FRESHMAN CLASS Cover. By 2011 he owned his own label Jet Life Records. He kept releasing consistent projects all mentioning bars about his love for cannabis, and in 2017 he dropped his first signature cannabis strain Andretti OG known for its heavy THC percentage and great aroma. He continued to release great music like Pilot Talk 4 and Continuance. He also released two other strains Jetz and Jetlag all reviewed very highly by Weedmaps and Leafly.

Wiz Khalifa

Wiz Khalifa made his love for cannabis constant every since the beginning of his career. One of his first mainstream hits “Roll Up” was a radio friendly anthem about love and cannabis and it skyrocketed his popularity fast in both the music and the cannabis industries. In 2016 he released his first weed strain to the public Khalifa Kush it received high reviews. Wiz continues to make huge profits today.

Juelz Santana and Lil Wayne



Juelz Santana

This Harlem Native is one of the latest rappers to try their hand in cannabis industry. His strain called I can’t feel my face got it’s name from a scrapped collaboration project between Juelz and Lil Wayne. It never released due to scheduling problems. Wayne and Juelz however had multiple songs released and unreleased in this era. The strain received great reviews from Jim Jones, Cam’Ron and Dave East. The Logo is a zombified baby with signature Santana Bandana on his head.

Snoop Dogg

This Hip Hop Icon first hit the scene in the early 90s signed to Death Row Records. His strain called Snoop Dogg OG is a 70% indica-dominant hybrid strain. A cross between Lemon OG and Sour Diesel. It is highly approved in the industry.
